In a shocking turn of events, former President Jacob Zuma has demanded that his daughter, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, apologise for her explosive posts on social media platform X. The posts, which insulted Floyd Shivambu, the secretary-general of the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, have sparked widespread debate and tension within the party.

According to reports, Zuma-Sambudla's posts referred to Shivambu as the "worst thing that has ever happened to the party" ¹. The party has considered her actions "unacceptable, divisive, denigrating, and offensive" and has ordered her to issue an unconditional public apology.

Zuma's directive is clear: his daughter must apologies to Shivambu, the president, members, supporters of the MK Party, and all the people of South Africa. She must also extend a formal apology to all structures she serves in or leads, including the Southern Caucus of the Pan-African Parliament.

Failure to follow this directive will result in immediate consequences, including the termination of her membership in the party and her recall from all party responsibilities. The incident has raised questions about the underlying causes of the feud between Zuma-Sambudla and Shivambu and its potential impact on political dynamics within the MK party.

As the situation unfolds, one thing is clear: Zuma's ultimatum has set the stage for a dramatic showdown within the party. People want to see now that will Zuma-Sambudla apologies and save her membership, or will she refuse and face the consequences?
