Waze app has joint hands with Volvo, and it is now available in the Volvo in-car app library.
The Waze app is available to all the Volvo cars with the Google built-in application. This applies to all the Volvo cars around the globe excluding China, South Korea as well as Vietnam.
The Waze app will be first experienced by Volvo drivers in the United States and Asia Pacific. The in-car Waze app is simple to set-up and without a need to connect your phone to the car.
All one needs to do is download the app in the Google Play Store using the Volvo’s car Google Play Store on the infotainment system to be able to enjoy the best of Waze’s navigation, real-time routing, as well as car alerts.
“We’re thrilled to announce our collaboration with Volvo Cars as their car owners around the world can now access the best of Waze real-time navigation, routing and traffic alerts through the car’s infotainment system,” said Aron Di Castro, Director, Marketing and Partnerships at Waze.
Navigation on the Waze app has become easier, just a tap away gets you where you need to be no matter who might be driving the car or using a different device the app just makes it simple and ensures seamless driving experience.
"We’re continuing to expand our in-car app offer to bring more options and benefits to our customers, allowing them to personalize their car," says Erik Severinson, the Volvo’s global head of new car programmes & operations strategy.

The Waze app uses more of the Volvo’s bolder eye level center screen which is the infotainment system. This is where the user can be able to navigate the app easier and comfortable as well be able to see better the navigation route on a bigger scale.
The app is safety crucial. It helps the driver be able to avoid phone related hassles or distractions while driving. At the same time, it continues to offer amazing and excellent in-car functionalities almost the same from your mobile phone.
“We’re committed to continuously improving the experience in Volvo cars through our in-house software development and ongoing collaborations with tech companies such as Google and Waze” Severinson.
The Waze app features and services mentioned above are subjected to differ between markets said Volvo.
