Minnie Dlamini to Co-host Miss World SA

Miss World South Africa made an official announcement on social media saying the official host of Miss World SA for the next two years will be the media personality Minnie Dlamini.


The celebrity Tv presenter and actress will co-host amongst Shirley Van Wyk, Thami Nkadimeng as well as Zanele Morison at the Miss World SA event which will be on the 28th of October at the State Theatre in Pretoria.


The caption on the announcement video post read "who better to crown Queens!!! A supreme Queen". Many of Minnie Dlamini's friends congratulated her by saying "oh yes absolutely excited and thank you @bouwecarrol cannot wait for the most spectacular pageant in South Africa", @missteenpretoria.


While making the big announcement on social media Carrol Bouwer said she is proud of how Minnie Dlamini made an effort to distinguish herself.

"I admire the many young women who have come to epitomize excellence in broadcasting in South Africa, and when I look at Minnie, I see many of the qualities we had at her age as women in broadcasting," says businesswoman Carrol Bouwer.


The 12 young women who ranger from ages 17 to 26 will be competing at this event to represent South Africa at the Miss World SA pageant. The young women were revealed by the Carol Bouwer's Miss World South Africa organization.


The 12 top contenders are to compete for the crown in October 28, and the winner will fly to India for the 71st Miss World pageant which will happen on the 9th of December.


"Our selection process included interviews to learn more about their personalities, passion for charity, and understanding of the Miss World pageant, among other things," says Bouwer.
